Genre: Contemporary Romance
Copyright: 2009
Pages: 343
Rating: 10
Series: Bride Quartet - Book 1
Ending: Dreamy and fabulous
I absolutely loved this book, it was exactly like watching a fantastic chic flick, hence the reason I didn't want to put it down and read it until the wee hours of the morning. It is a story about friendship, love, family struggles, personal demons and weddings!
The first book in the Bride Quartet series tells Mackensie, the wedding photographer's story. However, this is a story about four women who live and work together running a business and they are in the business of creating weddings. They have an amazing friendship and bond that has become their own unique family. In this book you'll read about some crazy weddings, some breath-taking weddings and the work it takes to make them perfect.
One of the aspects of the book that I simple adored was the way in which Nora Roberts talks about photography and the gift that it brings. The perfect angle, the perfect moment, the perfect photo! I got my first camera when I was 10, it was one of those automatic Polaroid cameras and such a big deal at the time. So I really connected with photography side of Mac's personality, she also had a complicated relationship with her mother, that most of us can relate to from time to time. You get all this and romance too, it's a wonderful combination!
This is a wonderful read for a day when you need a little pick me up, it takes a little longer to read a book than watch a movie but if you have a little extra time then treat yourself!

I do appreciate the review of this one. I have passed by it a few times in the store, not really knowing if it was a "me" book or not. I am not a big chick flick movie girl... (My fave is The Sweetest Thing)... but after reading your review, I will have to put this on my list TBB's!! Great review!
Hope you have a great weekend!

How's the romance in the story Alaine? Or is it more of a woman's fiction book? Thanks Congrats on all your blog awards too!
Hi Caffey, I loved the romance in this book. It is very sweet, it's not the hot sexy rip your clothoes off kind, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I must say though, I've never like Nora Roberts much, this is only my third book of hers. Can't wait for the next one!
